Here’s the complete list of changes Battlegrounds Mobile India will receive with the July update.
New weapon MG3 will be added to the game
The July update for BGMI will bring a new Light machine gun called MG3 to the game.
The MG3 replaces the M249 from the supply crate and will be exclusive to supply crates only.
The new LMG uses the 7.62mm ammo just like AKG and M249. The major highlight of the gun is its continuous firepower and 75 ammo magazine.
M249 LMG will be available as field drop
According to the patch notes video, the M249 LMG will be available as a field drop in all classic maps of the BGMI. The gun has been removed from the airdrop.

The challenge points after a certain level will also help players prevent ranking points deduction even if they are eliminated early in the game.
Mission Ignition Mode
The Ignition mode will be available on the Erangel map. This mode transforms several parts of the map into high-tech locations with futuristic things like autonomous trucks, Air Convoys, anti-gravity motorcycles, hyper lines with boarding stations, ASM Abakan weapons and more.

Apple iPad: Here’s when Apple may launch the next iPad – Times of India

0

Apple has been refreshing its iPad lineup quite frequently in the last few years. In the last two years, we have seen two ‘regular’ 10.2-inch iPads, two AirPad Pro models and an all-new iPad Air. Now, it looks like the only remaining iPad — mini — is set to get a refresh. According to Bloomberg, Apple is on track to launch the next iPad mini this fall — something around September/October.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has mentioned this in his weekly newsletter. Gurman suggests that this will be “the biggest redesign in the nine-year history” of the iPad mini. Apart from the redesign, the iPad mini is expected to come powered by a new processor as well.
It was in 2019 when Apple had last launched an iPad mini. The iPad mini had then got support for Apple Pencil.
The upcoming iPad mini could see a design similar to the iPad Air, which Apple launched in 2020. For the last two years, Apple has launched an entry-level iPad in September and if Gurman’s claims are to be believed then this year could see the launch of the all-new iPad mini.
Tipster Jon Prosser had last month hinted at some of the changes that could come with the iPad mini. According to Prosser, Touch ID would be removed from the home button (which also bids adieu) and put with the top button. The device might be given a USB Type-C port to make file transfer easier. Prosser also hints that the iPad mini 2021 could come with support for Apple Pencil 2 or might even have its own small Pencil, as per the size of the tablet. The colours that the device may launch in are Black, Gold and Silver. The upcoming iPad mini is expected to come with an 8.4-inch display and could be powered by the M1 chip.

How Amazon’s ‘no warning’ policy may make life difficult for its employees – Times of India

0

Performance improvement plans (or Pips) are one of the most dreaded things for any employee. If you are ‘put in Pip’ then it is usually a sign that you may have to start looking for a new job. But for people working at Amazon things are scarier. As part of Amazon’s ‘Focus’ performance management tool, your manager is not supposed to warn you if your performance is being monitored, as per a report by The Seattle Times.
Amazon doesn’t want its employees to know that their performance is not up to the mark and their work is under scrutiny. In other words, you won’t even get to know if you are already ‘put in Pip’. And before you officially get to know that you have been a low performing employee, you may lose your job at Amazon.
As per Amazon’s policy, the employee will get to know whether or not their performance is under scrutiny only when he or she asks the manager.
When employees face the Focus tool at Amazon, there’s a chance that he or she may be “pressured” to quit. “Amazon tracks the number of employees in Focus in the context of meeting its goal for “unregretted attrition,” the roughly 6% of office employees Amazon hopes to pressure out of the company each year, according to internal Amazon human resources documents,” as per the report by The Seattle Times.
The report added that Amazon wants over one-third of low performing employees tracked by the Focus tool to “fail the program” and leave the company. The only thing is that employees will never get to know that the Focus tool is tracking their performance.
The report also mentioned that some employees got to know that they are in Focus “by accident” after they had applied for a transfer to another team. “They described the experience of not knowing whether they were on Focus, or how to get off, as emotionally draining,” it added.

Twitter to explain clearly why you didn’t get that ‘blue tick’ – Times of India

0

Earlier this year Twitter introduced its verification program after a gap of couple of years. The ‘blue tick’ or becoming a verified account on Twitter is apparently quite a coveted thing. However, when Twitter opened its verification program, a lot of users were not happy at being rejected. It was not just the rejection that rankled but how Twitter didn’t given them good enough reasons behind it.
Twitter, it seems like has heard the complaints and will now give a better explanation at rejecting those who want the blue tick. “We’ve heard your feedback that we can be more clear on why an application didn’t get approved. Decision emails will now give more context on why requests don’t meet our criteria,” the social media platform said in a tweet.

Things to know why you can be ‘rejected’ by Twitter

Twitter has explained why it may reject your call for becoming a verified account. Here we break it down

A website looking for verification has to be authentic

“If you’re using a website to verify your authenticity, it must be the website for a Verified organissation. The website must also reference your name and Twitter account,” Twitter explained.

Follower count matters

For any company/brand/organisation and those applying as an activist/influential individual, your follower count must be in the top .05% of active accounts located in the same geographic region, Twitter said in tweet.

Not all journalists can get verified accounts

For journalists, Twitter said that their Twitter profile must reference the news organisation they’re affiliated with and link to its official website. Further, the news organisations they reference must be a notable, verified organisation as per Twitter’s policy. “In the application, journalists must link to their specific about page/bio, or to articles that reference them on the news org’s official site. Independent or freelance journalists must provide links to 3 articles in Verified publications in the 6 months before applying,” Twitter explained in a tweet.
Twitter also made it clear that the whole process does take time and requested patience. “We know some of you are still waiting for the option to apply. We’re still rolling out access to keep up with the volume of applications we’re getting. It should be rolled out to everyone soon! Patience isn’t part of the criteria, but we appreciate yours,” the social media platform noted in a tweet.

Apple’s new ad pays special attention to iPhone 12’s ‘partner’ – Times of India

0

Apple’s newest iPhone 12 ad, named ‘Haystack’, shows a rancher driving on a narrow road going through a field in search of his lost iPhone with his dog accompanying him in the car. While driving, the rancher seems to have got an approximate location of the missing iPhone (most probably used iCloud to locate it) as he stops and then reverses his car a bit. After he gets out of the car and goes and stands near a haystack, he is shown to be wearing an Apple Watch, which is helping him locate the missing iPhone.
Meanwhile, the song “Searching (For Someone Like You)” by country singer Kitty Wells plays in the background. Suspecting that the iPhone might be somewhere inside the haystack, he presses the Pinging iPhone option on his Apple Watch, which should make his iPhone emit a beeping sound to help him locate it. And the beeping comes from close by. Next, he puts his hand inside the haystack and without any difficulty, finds his missing iPhone 12 in the first attempt only. The ad ends with the rancher walking back to his car and “Relax, its iPhone12+Apple Watch” showing in the middle of the screen. You can see it here yourself.

Besides the obvious ‘too easy’ find inside the haystack, it is a straightforward ad meant to popularise the combination of the two gadgets. The ad tries to show how handy a companion an Apple Watch can be to an iPhone user who does not have one, a clever ploy to make you want to take a closer look at the smartwatch and consider buying one. But isn’t that what Apple has always been about, wanting users to get into its ecosystem of devices to get more out of its services?
